    More than two years after their instant classic in Madison Square Garden, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano returned to the ring for one of the most anticipated rematches in boxing history.

    that night Taylor edged Serrano by a closely contested and highly debatable split decision to keep his undisputed lightweight crown. This time, Taylor will put his undisputed world super lightweight title on the line inside the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

    round 1-

    Serrano starts things off by pumping the jab and Taylor throws some right hooks. Serrano tags in and Taylor lands a nice counter just before getting out of the corner. Serrano continues to push forward, putting Taylor in the corner as we approach the final seconds of the opening round. Serrano hits Taylor with a nice left hand that sends Taylor crashing into the ropes. Taylor rolls away and avoids taking any more damage before the bell rings.

    Round 2

    After finishing the first round on a strong note, Serrano came out looking to start the second the same way. However, Taylor has other plans as he lands a big kick to the chin as Serrano goes forward. That got Serrano’s attention, but stopped her from trying to put Taylor on the back foot.

    Round 3

    Serrano continues to come forward, but Taylor does a better job of keeping her at bay with a powerful jab. Serrano pushes through her and throws a two-punch combination, but Serrano fires right back with a barrage of punches that send Serrano back. Taylor looks better with each round, but probably not enough to swing the scores in her favor.

    Round 4

    Taylor starts things off with a nice combination near the corner, but it’s Serrano who pushes the pace. Taylor is more than willing to get into a fight with Taylor, but she starts closing in every time Serrano closes the distance. A brief break in the fight comes when an accidental headbutt from Taylor lands head first on Serrano. Once the fight resumes, Serrano continues his pursuit and lands a nice right hand near the corner.

    Round 5

    Serrano closes the gap right out of the gate and Taylor tries to make her pay, but a clinch forces the ref to separate them. Serrano lands a counter left and follows it up with a lead left that lands. Serrano takes Taylor down and throws a left hook, but Taylor ducks. Taylor rises to every opportunity, giving himself a chance to reset. With 10 seconds left in the round, Serrano breaks to the body and the two fighters trade blows until the bell rings.

    Round 6

    Serrano has a nasty cut over his right eye from the head kick in the fourth round. Taylor lands a left that seems to have broken the cut even more. The referee stops the action for the ringside doctor to take a look, but allows the fight to continue. Serrano continues to stalk his opponent, but Taylor manages to avoid eating dangerous shots.

    Round 7

    We see some big exchanges in the seventh round as Serrano is blinded by her blood. With Taylor tired and Serrano hurt, both women continue to go to the center of the ring. Taylor lands a solid left, but Serrano comes back with a nasty right hook followed by another. Serrano’s cut seems to be taking away from her accuracy, but she still seems to be outshooting Taylor, which will certainly help her on the scoreboards.

    Round 8

    With the fight closing in on both, both fighters come out with huge shots. It became a battle between Taylor’s volume and Serrano’s power. Another clash of heads opens the cut on Serrano again and Taylor lands a solid left. Then we have another headbutt, followed by a left hook from Taylor. Serrano and Taylor trade blows in close quarters and Taylor is deducted a point for repeatedly clashing heads.

    Round 9

    The cut above Serrano’s eye is beyond ugly, but she still goes toe-to-toe with Taylor in a series of crazy exchanges. Serrano lands with precision, but Taylor doesn’t back down, and both women are happy to get bloody and beat each other up in the penultimate round.

    Round 10

    Taylor is hit with a right and a left from Serrano, and his opponent gets the best of the striking exchanges. Taylor fights back with a powerful two-punch attack, but is hurt and takes a complete beating in the final round. A body kick pushes Taylor back, but Taylor counters with a massive kick and both women end the fight throwing caution to the wind and looking to make a statement on the cards.

    Official Result: Katie Taylor beat. Amanda Serrano by unanimous decision (95-94, 95-94, 95-94)
