FEMA opens disaster recovery center in Jefferson County

LOUISVILLE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – FEMA is opening a Disaster Recovery Center in Jefferson County to provide one-on-one assistance to Georgians affected by Hurricane Helene.

The center located at the National Guard Bid-EOC, 1841 Highway 24 West will be open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Additional centers are open in the following counties:

  • Richmond County at the Hub for Community Innovation, 631 Chafee Avenue
  • McDuffie County at Thomson Depot, 111 Railroad Street
  • Emanuel County at 346 Kite Road, Building 1
  • Screven County at the library, 106 Community Drive
  • Washington County at the Sandersville School Building Authority, 514 North Harris Street

Homeowners and renters in Burke, Columbia, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Screven, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington and Wilkes counties can visit any open center to meet with FEMA, State of Georgia and US representatives.
