Disqualified driver Dudley to appear in court accused of driving cloned van

Phillip Billingham, 47, of Vicar Street, Dudleywas arrested in Brierley HillDudley on November 11 after officers saw a Luton clone van driven in the area.

Officers pursued the van to a dead end, where the driver fled into a wooded area. However, the police quickly arrested the 47-year-old man on suspicion of car theft.

Further checks also revealed Phillip was driving while disqualified and without third party insurance.

Phillip was remanded in custody until his next hearing at Walsall Crown Court on November 19.

In an update today, West Midlands Police said: “Phillip Billingham, 47, of Vicar Street, Dudley, was charged with driving while disqualified and using a vehicle without insurance.

“He has been remanded in custody until his next scheduled court appearance at Walsall Crown Court on November 19.”
