WESTFIELD – After authorities from multiple law enforcement agencies arrested a man wanted on multiple fugitive warrants at an East Bartlett Street apartment, they discovered three neglected dogs, three handguns and a cache of cocaine, according to court records.

Pedro J. Deleon Jr., 31, of Springfield, was discovered hiding under a bed after authorities executed a search warrant at the East Bartlett Street apartment, according to court documents.

When officers from four federal, state and local law enforcement agencies arrived at the apartment on Oct. 22 to serve a warrant on Deleon, they were greeted at the door by a woman who said he wasn’t there and, in general, he did not cooperate, according to a report filed in court by a state trooper involved in the arrest.
