Sylvester Stallone labeled President-elect Donald Trump the ‘second George Washington’ as the actor invoked his ‘Rocky’ film franchise during the star-studded America First Policy Conference at Mar-a-Lago , Thursday evening.

“At that point, he was a chosen person and that’s how we started the journey,” Stallone told the audience in West Palm Beach, Florida. “Something is going to happen, this man is going to go through a metamorphosis and change lives.”

Stallone described Trump as a “mythical figure” as he was “delighted” by the former and future president’s historic victory on election night.

“This individual does not exist on this planet. Nobody could have achieved what he did, so I’m amazed,” he said.

The hard-hitting filmmaker then compared Trump’s latest campaign to the American Revolution and the nation’s first president.

“When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he would change the world. because without it, you can imagine what the world would look like.”

“Guess what? We have the second George Washington,” he said.

“Congratulations,” Stallone said as he greeted Trump on stage.

The relationship between Stallone and Trump has been well documented with rumors that the actor was a possibility for the president National Endowment for the Arts during the 78-year-old’s first term.
