Bhopal: Four policemen have been suspended and the TI of Kotwali police station has been attached following allegations of police brutality following the death of a youth in a road accident in Shivpuri district. A 24-hour blockade, staged by members of the deceased’s family and community, also led to a magisterial inquiry in the incident.
The incident took place after Ravindra Pal, a member of the Pal community, died in a road accident on the highway under Surwaya police station area of the district. Pal, who was riding a motorcycle, crashed into a police barricade, resulting in his death. Two of his companions were injured in the accident.
