At 7:18 p.m., troopers responded to a car accident on the Garden State Parkway South at milepost 102.2 in Tinton Falls, said Jeffrey Lebron, a state police spokesman.

A Chevrolet Colorado operated by Frank Graziosi, 68, of Toms River, was traveling south on the road, Lebron said. In the area of ​​milepost 102.2, the Chevrolet veered off the road to the right and struck a tree.

As a result of the crash, Graziosi suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, according to Lebron. On Sunday, Graziosi died from his injuries.
