GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Georgetown County man has been arrested in connection with a shooting Wednesday night.

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office said Quamae Rashaad Singleton, 18, was arrested at his home after witnesses identified him as the shooter responsible for the property damage.

The shooting happened in the area of ​​Nushell Street and Mercer Boulevard. Deputies found shell casings at the scene and a home with a bullet hole in the silo.

They were not injured.

Deputies searched Singleton’s home after obtaining a search warrant and found a handgun and four grams of cocaine in his bedroom.

He is charged with discharging a firearm into a dwelling, aggravated breach of peace and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

He is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center pending warrant issuance and a bond hearing.
