CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Police arrested 34-year-old Jamercion Bush of Cedar Rapids in connection with a robbery Tuesday morning. It happened at the Wendy’s on 1st Avenue NE.

Witnesses told police that someone robbed the store at gunpoint and then ran away.

Bush was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with, among other charges, first-degree robbery and felon in possession of a firearm.

Bush was previously charged with attempted murderdomestic abuse and assaulting a police officer for a 2019 incident in which he stabbed his wife in the neck.

In that incident, the woman went to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and Bush was taken into custody after he tried to throw a rock at a police officer.

Bush pleaded guilty to wounding with intent causing bodily harm and being armed with intent and was sentenced to 10 years in prison for that incident.
