Lynch’s charges stem from an incident on Saturday, August 10 in Ayrshire, Iowa.

As previously reportedPalo Alto County deputies were called to the 1200 block of Lincoln Street after receiving reports of shots fired at a home.

Authorities say Nicholas Heiman, Lynch’s nephew, told deputies his uncle fired a shotgun at him when Heiman stopped to drop off medication for Lynch.

At the scene, deputies found a shotgun shell casing near the chair Lynch was said to have been sitting in and the bedroom door was damaged.
