Alec Baldwin is gearing up for the launch of his new family reality series spellbound — but he’s not sure if he did his best work while filming.

“I wasn’t having a lot of fun,” Baldwin, 66, said Associated Press TO spellbound premiernoting that he likes having a real script in front of him. “Tell me what to do!”

spellboundpremiering on TLC in January, will document the life of Alec, his wife Hilaria Baldwin and their seven children — Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, María, 3, and Ilaria, 2. (daughter of Alec, 29, Ireland Baldwinwhich he shares with his ex-wife Kim Basinger, does not appear to be part of the series.)

In June, Hilaria, 40, and Alec announced they were going to be who star in their own reality show with their children.

“We invite you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild and the crazy,” Alec said in announcement on social media at the time. “Home is where we like to be the most.”

Shortly after they unveiled their new series, a source said We weekly which Hilaria had “It’s been asked for years” if they would consider a reality show.

“They always note that their living situation is perfect for reality because they have so many children with big personalities. This is their chance to show the world what their day-to-day lives are like,” the insider said, adding that the TLC series will focus on “all the chaos with their kids, their pets and their careers.”

The show came as a surprise to many as Alec was judged this summer after Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins she died in 2021 when she was shot with a prop gun he was holding on set. Alec denied pulling the trigger and claimed he did not know there was a bullet inside the chamber when he was holding the firearm.

“The trigger was not pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger,” Baldwin said in a 2021 interview with ABC News. “I would never point a gun at anybody and pull the trigger on them. Not. I have no idea (how a bullet got in there). Someone put a live bullet in a gun. A bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property.”

In July, Alec was charged with involuntary manslaughter officially dismissed.

“There are too many people who have supported me to thank right now,” Alec wrote via the medium Instagram in July. “To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness to my family.”
