Valencia man charged with burglary – Butler Eagle

A Valencia man was charged with burglary late last month in connection with an Oct. 11 incident in Callery.

Ryan James Mauro, 30, was charged Oct. 29 with felonies, including criminal trespass and summary disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, after law enforcement responded to find a damaged home and vehicles.

Police said that upon arriving at the home, a state trooper discovered damage to two vehicles and the home.

Both vehicles had flat tires and one of the vehicles also had the door handles on the same side stuck together, police said. The other had something poured into the gas tank, detected by residue left on the side of the vehicle, according to the affidavit.

The front door of the home was also damaged, with the keyhole and door frame both glued together, police said.

The damage is estimated at about $7,000.

Police said residents identified Mauro as the person who damaged the home and vehicles.

Charges were filed against Mauro before Evans City District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz on Oct. 29. No date has been set yet.
