WASHINGTON, DC — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a burglary that occurred early Saturday morning in Southeast Washington.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary around 5 a.m. on Nov. 9 in the 400 block of 8th Street SE. According to police, an employee arrived at the business to find the cash register broken into and money missing.

The suspect was captured on surveillance footage, and images from the video have been released in hopes that someone can help identify the individual.

Anyone with information about the suspect or incident is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department by calling (202) 727-9099 or texting tips to the Department’s TEXT TIP line at 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to arrest and indictment in the case.
