Gurgaon: Four, including a teenager, charred to death after fire breaks out at a house in Saraswati Enclave – Gurgaon News

Four people, including a minor, died in a fire at their residence in Gurugram’s Saraswati enclave, police said on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday evening when the victims were sleeping in the same room. Other family members were in an adjoining room at the time.

The deceased have been identified as Aman (17), Sahil (22), Noor Alam (27) and Mohammad Mushtaq (28). They were all residents of Bihar and were living together in the rented room. Aman was a class 10 student, while the other victims were employed as tailors at a garment export company.

Initial investigations suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire, which spread rapidly, filling the room with smoke and eventually claiming their lives, said police inspector Sandeep Kumar.

However, locals claimed that the fire brigade arrived about 30 minutes after being alerted, despite the fact that the fire station was only 500 meters away.

In another incident, a fire broke out in a house near Basai Road in Gurugram. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
