Warming trend, 80s return to the Phoenix area this week

PHOENIX (AZ Family) — Valley highs will be a little warmer today, around 82, a few degrees above the normal high of 79. Some high clouds may move in later today and tonight. For Veterans Day on Monday, expect a mix of clouds and sun with highs near 83 in the Valley.

A system will move north of our area on Tuesday. This will drop temperatures to about 78 in the Valley. This system will also increase high country winds to about 10-15 mph out of the southwest with gusts around 20 mph.

Temperatures will begin to rise again midweek, with highs in the low 80s Wednesday and mid-80s Thursday.

Another potential area of low pressure will likely approach by the end of this week or next weekend. That may drop temperatures into the low 80s by Friday and into the low 70s by Saturday.

There is also a chance for rain or snow in the high country from this system, but the timing and amounts remain very uncertain at this time.
