A man has been shot and two people injured with gunshot wounds in south-east London, the Metropolitan Police said.

Officers were called at 10.10am BST on Sunday to reports of a shooting near Wells Park Road in Sydenham, where they found a man injured who died at the scene.

A woman was also found with gunshot wounds to her legs and was taken to hospital and her condition is not considered life-threatening.

A third person later attended hospital with what were “believed to be” gunshot wounds, a Met spokesman said.
