Sagittal: Two persons were killed and two others injured when a marriage vehicle met with an accident near the Dharur canal on the outskirts of Jagtial early on Sunday morning.

While bride Lakhsmi’s brother Sankeerth, who was driving the car, and her friend Raji died on the spot, her parents sustained serious injuries. Lakshmi too suffered serious injuries.

The injured were admitted to Jagtial Government Hospital. Lakshmi was shifted to Karimnagar hospital as her health deteriorated.

Residents of Hanumanwada, mission compound in Jagtial town, the family had attended their daughter’s marriage reception held at Jangaon on Saturday evening. They met with the accident while returning to Jagtial.
