Class 5A

1. Mountain Vista (8-0) vs. Rock Canyon, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: at Castle View, 6.30pm, November 1.

2. Cherry Creek (8-1) won against Smoky Hill, 55-3: The Bruins snapped their Centennial League 9-game winning streak with Jayden Fox opening the first half with a touchdown and Ty Goettsche completing a scoring strike to take a 48-3 halftime lead. Creek’s defense has allowed just 10 points in four league games and is now one win away from its second straight undefeated run en route to a Centennial title. Next week: vs. Grandview, 7 p.m., Nov. 1.

3. Valor Christian (7-1) vs Monumentul Fruita, Friday at 7:00 p.m. Next week: at Rock Canyon, 7 p.m., Oct. 31.

4. Legend (7-1) vs. Douglas County, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: at no. 8 Jesuit Regis, 6:30 p.m., November 1.

5. Ralston Valley (7-1) vs. Denver East, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: at Arvada West, 7 p.m., Oct. 31.

6. Columbine (7-1) at Denver South, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: v Chatfield, 7pm, November 1.

7. Pine Creek (5-3) vs. Jesuit Regis no. 8, Saturday, 1 p.m: The Eagles can go a long way toward locking up a first-round bye in the 5A state playoffs with a home win over the Raiders. While Pine Creek won the last meeting with Regis, the Raiders have won three of the last four. Next week: at Fountain-Fort Carson, 7 p.m., Nov. 1.

8. Jesuit Regis (5-3) at no. 7 Pine Creek, Saturday, 1 p.m: The Raiders have won five in a row and need one more to set up a winner-takes-all showdown with the Legend for the 5A Southern League title in Week 10. Next week: vs. Legend no. 4, 6:30 p.m. November 1.

9. Erie (7-2) won vs. Legacy, 38-17: Ronin Ward passed for a TD and ran for another in the fourth quarter, and Braylon Toliver broke free for a long scoring run in the final frame as the Tigers turned a 17-10 lead into a win fugitive. Erie, which has won six in a row, is now one win away from winning a league title in its first season in 5A. Next week: vs. Horizon, 7pm, November 1.

10. Fairview (8-0) vs. Fossil Ridge, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: at Rocky Mountain, 7 p.m., Nov. 1.


Class 4A

1. Pueblo West (8-0) vs. Falcon, Friday, 19.00. Next week: at no. 2 Montrose, 6pm, November 1.

2. Montrose (8-0) at Widefield, Friday, 6 p.m. Next week: vs. no. 1 Pueblo West, 6 p.m., Nov. 1.

3. Dakota Ridge (7-1) vs. Golden, 7:30 p.m. Friday. Next week: vs. Bear Creek, 7 p.m., Oct. 31.

4. Broomfield (7-1) vs. no. 7 Riverdale Ridge, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: at Skyline, November 1, 7 p.m.

5. Mesa Ridge (6-3) won against Doherty, 37-12: The Grizzlies ended a two-game skid strong with another explosive offense in the Springs. Mesa Ridge has now topped 30 points in all six of its wins, with its last two losses coming by three and four points to No. 1 Pueblo West and No. 2 Montrose, respectively. Next week: at Falcon, 7pm, November 1.

6. Palmer Ridge (8-1) won at Rampart, 50-14: The Bears went with a Rampart defense that until Week 9 had not allowed more than 24 points in a single game. Palmer Ridge attempted all four passes for loss, instead leading seniors Carson Campbell (nine carries, 227 yards, 4 TDs) and Avier Elvira (16-200, 3 TDs) to a 444 night meters to the ground which should send a message to the rest of the 4A. These Bears have no problem getting physical. Next week: vs. Liberty, 7 p.m., Nov. 1.

7. Riverdale Ridge (8-0) at no. 4 Broomfield, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: vs. Grand Junction Central, 7 p.m., Nov. 1.

8. Durango (5-3) at Liberty, Friday 6 p.m. Next week: vs. no. 10 Vista Ridge, 6 p.m., Nov. 1.

9. Frederick (6-2) vs. Monarch, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: at Greeley West on Oct. 31.

10. Vista Ridge (5-3) vs. Air Academy, Friday, 7 p.m. Next week: at no. 8 Durango, 6 p.m., November 1.
