Best AS VAL gear and class for Black Ops 6

The AS VAL in Black Ops 6 is perhaps the best assault rifle suited to players interested in stealth-focused playstyles.

All thanks to the built-in suppressor, AS VAL in Black Ops 6 it effectively gives you an additional attachment for free, allowing you to specify in its other slots for a total of six.

In this guide, we’ll go through best attachments and build AS VALTHE best in class gear, perks, gear and equipmentand how to unlock AS VAL.

On this page:

Best Black Ops 6 AS VAL attachments and build

Coming pre-built with a suppressor, the AS VAL immediately offers an attachment that will no doubt appeal to players who traditionally opt for one in their setups. The fact that this is a central part of the gun means that one of the gun’s attachment slots is freed up for something else. However, due to this inclusion, it means that the gun does not have access to any muzzle-based attachments.

You can equip this anyway assault rifle with technically six attachments – or nine if you ran the Gunfighter Wildcard – giving it potential capabilities that other guns don’t have.

With all that said, our approach to our gun build recommendation is to give it more ammo, then offset as many of the negatives it creates as possible, all while helping it to be an even more accurate and powerful rifle. than it would be otherwise. As we go deeper with some of the perks, we also suggest an option or two that might help for stealth-focused gameplay by taking advantage of its built-in suppressor.

Here is our recommendation for best attachments and build AS VAL:

  • Barrel: Suppressed reinforced barrel
  • Underbarrel: Precision Foregrip OR Launcher (Smoke)
  • Magazine: Mag extended I
  • Rear handle: Ergonomic grip
  • Fire mode: Recoil springs

As mentioned, although the barrels are not customizable, all barrel options are customizable to address this.

As such, we go with Suppressed reinforced barrelgiving us the basic suppressor effects that hide us from radar when we open fire with the weapon, along with increased bullet speed and damage range.

To give the weapon a little more accuracy, we recommend choosing Precision front grip for improved aiming idle swing as well as better horizontal recoil control. An alternative choice to achieve similar results is the Ranger Foregrip, which trades reduced swing for increased movement speed when sprinting.

While it might be somewhat of a niche pick, if you want to try something more experimental, you can shoot for something like the Smoke Grenade Launcher in this slot. By using this, you can provide additional coverage under the smoke.

If you want to get even more niche, consider a thermal optic as well, so you can spot enemies through the smokescreens you create. It’s unlikely to ever be a popular playstyle, but you never know how it might go, especially for smaller maps like Nuketown. Make sure you consider throwing in an Assault pack as well, then you’ll be able to refill the smoke grenades with each resupply.

Moving on to the next attachment, since the AS VAL chews through ammo pretty quickly and only has 20 per mag, we recommend taking Mag I extendedonly to increase to 30. You can go to the next level to increase the size of the mage to 40, but it’s best to see how you feel about the faster reload speeds before fully committing to this.

To make the weapon feel a little faster in combat, Ergonomic handle is what we recommend for the fourth attachment, improving sprint-to-pull, dive-to-pull, and sight-down-aim speeds across the board.

Finally, since AS VAL can be a bit difficult to control when it comes to recoil, Recoil springs Attaching the fire mode will make it more accurate due to better vertical and horizontal recoil control. The effects of this are all the more notable as it’s the only attachment the weapon has access to that improves vertical recoil, as most others focus on horizontal knockback.

Finally, you can choose to customize the gun to your liking, and as new attachments are unlocked, you may find there’s another one you’re more comfortable with, so feel free to mix and match for see what works for you

Black Ops 6 AS VAL best gear, perks, gear and gear

As we alluded to in the section above, we’re taking a pretty stealth-focused approach to our perks, though you could always go for something faster and more combat-ready, like the Forced Combat-oriented builds. Specialty. We discuss this briefly as an alternative approach, but our primary focus here however is on leaning towards Recon-based advantages.

To go into all the specific details, below is our recommendation for best class equipment Black Ops 6 AS VAL:

Best Black Ops 6 AS VAL gear

  • Secondary: Player preference
  • Tactical: Stim Shot
  • fatal: Combat Axe
  • Field upgrade: Scrambler or Assault Pack (if Smoke Launcher)
  • Advantage 1: Ghost
  • Advantage 2: Forward Intel
  • Advantage 3: Double time
  • Combat specialty: Rec
  • Wild card: Perk Greed (with Ninja)

While secondary, tactical, lethal, and terrain upgrades are generally best left to your preference, we choose Stim Shot for a quick reaction in the middle of the fight, Combat Axe for some sick crossmap tomahawk kills – plus a good stealth option – and Scrambler to give us and our team minimap coverage. You might want to go for the Assault pack for a general, complete matchup, plus it will get you extra smoke grenades for the launcher if you try this build.

On the secondary side, go with whatever gun you’re a fan of – the one Stryder .22 and Grekhova are two great choices if you’re not sure.

As for the advantages, since stealth is the name of the game, we recommend a simple choice in Ghost. This will hide you from enemy radars while moving around, controlling Scorestreaks, or interacting with certain objectives.

Beyond that, Forward Intel in the second slot allows you to see which way enemies are facing on an enlarged minimap, while Double time increases tactical sprint duration.

To top it all off and give you the range of Rec Specialty combat bonuses – such as hiding enemy death skulls on your kills, notifying you when an enemy spots you, and more – we recommend equipping Perk Greed Wildcard next door Ninjaan advantage that will reduce the noise of your footsteps, keeping your movements down.

Of course, as I mentioned, you may want to lean towards the Enforcer playstyle, and if that’s where your preference lies, we recommend an advantageous setup with the same Wildcard that includes something like: Gung-Ho, Fast Hands, Double Time, and either Dexterity or Scavenger. That’s worth noting, because after a pretty popular weekend on Nuketown, Recon’s perks — like the ability to spot enemies through walls after respawns — have gotten enough attention that it looks like they might be set for some sort of nerf in proximity. future.

Regardless of your approach, many of the perks and gear listed here are sure to set you up for success in Multiplayer and are worth trying out to see what works best for you.
