According to paramedics, the crash between Ashburton and the Lion Park exit ramp is serious.

“Initial reports indicate that there have been multiple injuries as well as multiple fatalities,” says ALS Paramedics spokesman Garrith Jamieson.

“Many ambulances are mobile to assist advanced life support paramedics.

“Incidents occurred across both boundaries – highways heading to Pietermaritzburg and Durban were affected.”
