An employee assaulted a customer at a Lincoln gas station, police said

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman was assaulted at a northeast Lincoln gas station early Tuesday morning, police said.

It happened around 5 a.m. at the U-Stop near 84th Street and Cornhusker Highway, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Police said the clerk assaulted a customer, but it’s unclear why.

The woman was not seriously injured, according to police.

The employee was arrested on suspicion of attempted strangulation and third-degree assault.
