The winners and losers of the 2024 election: where do we start?

Picking the winners and losers from Tuesday’s presidential election could go on forever, but here’s a list of where we should start.

First, the losers, because it’s the happiest part of the list.

Defeated: Kamala Harris

Well, she obviously lost the White House to Donald Trump, but she lost her dignity along the way. Calling your opponent Hitler for holding a rally in a building that once hosted a pro-Nazi rally? Serious? That’s what the Harris campaign has come down to in recent weeks. Nothing about policy or how her administration would be different from the Biden administration, just insults and hyperbolic rants about threats to democracy.

In short, the Harris campaign has become a caricature of the MSNBC primetime lineup on tour around the country. Whoever was advising Harris should have been fired a long time ago. On the other hand, maybe she’s so inept as a politician that she thinks people should promote her to higher positions without providing any substance to back it up. After all, that’s how she was pegged to the Biden campaign as the best diversity hire of all time in 2020.

Harris has frequently gloated, painting women (something the Democratic Party can’t define) as single-issue voters concerned only with abortion. The condescension to assume that the economy, public safety, or foreign policy were less important than unfettered access to abortion is the Democratic folly of the decade.

But wait, are there bright spots for Harris? Surely she improved upon Joe Biden’s performance given her youth and exuberance?

Take it, CNN:

That is correct. Kamala Harris’ contribution this election cycle in terms of improvement over Joe Biden was “literally nothing.”

It’s pretty safe to say that the Kamala Harris train has ended. She will no longer run for national office. Her last service in the country will be to certify Donald Trump as the next president in January.

Loser: The Democratic Party

Democrats have painted themselves into an electoral box they cannot get out of. For all the talk about Republicans being stuck with Trump (it works fine, thanks), Democrats can’t organize themselves out of a paper bag. From one bad candidate to another, including Joe Biden, the so-called “party of the working class” has completed its transition into the “party of the coastal elites.”

Voters don’t like being told what they should care about or being told they are Nazis for wanting affordable housing and a better quality of life. While a few unions supported Harris, the vast majority of top union workers voted for Donald Trump. Whether it’s illegal immigration or green energy policies, it’s pretty clear that Democrats have become the party working against Americans on many levels.

When party loyalists like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. abandon ship and join Trump’s unity ticket, it’s clear there’s a disconnect. The Democratic Party has become the most anti-democratic machine in American politics today, with rigged primaries and installed candidates like Harris. The Democrats have become the fascists they warn about. Biden’s Justice Department is trying to put Donald Trump in jail despite false claims that Trump is the one who wants to lock up his political enemies.

The “Democracy Party” deposed its own sitting president and installed a candidate who received zero votes. How much more undemocratic can you get?

Will they learn? Doubtful, as the virtue signaling is too deep to abandon insanity at this point.

Loser: (Most) polls

Donald Trump wins Iowa by *check notes* almost 14 points. There was never a universe where Trump came close to losing Iowa.

And yet on Saturday, the Des Moines Register dropped Ann Selzer’s final Iowa poll showing Kamala Harris winning the state by 3 points:

The chart must be included to emphasize how much of a laughingstock the survey industry has become.

Here’s Selzer explaining why Harris was going to win Iowa, sounding like she really believes her own impossible data:

Everything is garbage. It’s all nonsense and it didn’t stand up to even the slightest criticism. Selzer is a rabid Democrat, but she has tended to keep her facts on the straight and narrow. What happened this year is anyone’s guess. Was it sold to carry out a suppression survey? Did he really mess it up that badly by accident? Who knows. Either way, remove her from the list of trusted sources when it comes to electoral politics.

But there are plenty of examples to cite when it comes to a vote miss this cycle. In Michigan, they saw more polls a tie, but only two predicted a Trump victory. Then there are states like Florida where Trump is set to win by 14 points. Some polls actually saw the Sunshine State in play for Harris or in the low single digits, a scenario that was never possible.

Now that we have early voting data to examine based on party registration in the weeks leading up to Election Day, opinion polls quickly lose their impact and become almost laughable at some point.

Defeated: Allan Lichtman

Despite endlessly shouting “13 Keys to the White House” being turned in Kamala Harris’ favor, the game is up for the American University professor and his completely subjective keys that predict nothing.

Weeks ago, Lichtman predicted that only Kamala Harris had the magic to turn the keys and win:

Lichtman kept doubling up, and why wouldn’t he? It’s not like he’s abandoning his own method, but at some point it becomes absurd. The man enjoyed having his ego stroked until election day:

Oops, guess not, teacher.

Winner: Donald Trump

The list of winners could go on, but let’s face it, Trump is the phoenix rising from the political ashes like no other.

Just a few years ago, his career was declared dead as Democrats tried to put him in jail over the Capital Hill protest on January 6, 2021. This is all ancient history, with Americans fed up with Biden’s failures until the point where they wanted Trump back in charge. .

The man Democrats have spent the better part of a decade trying to destroy with fake scandals, false accusations and live bullets is still standing and ready to re-enter the Oval Office.

What an amazing point in history to witness.
