Tinubu’s Renewed Hope: List of 22 Security Agency Chiefs and Regions They Come From

Heads of security agencies include paramilitary and anti-corruption bureaus.

These agencies include Defence, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS), Correctional Service of NigeriaNigeria Immigration Service, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Federal Fire Service and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

All agencies are believed to be working to ensure that Bola Tinubu administration achieves its “Renewed Hope” agenda.

Below is the regional breakdown of the heads of the 22 security agencies in Nigeria under Tinubu administration, courtesy of Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser on Public Communication and Orientation to President Tinubu.

The list above shows that the North West holds the highest number of security appointments with eight, followed by the South West with five and the North Central with four.

Tinubu appoints interim COAS

earlier, Legit.ng reported that the president Tinubu appointed Major General Olufemi Oluyede as Acting Chief of Army Staff (COAS) pending the return of the ailing Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja.

Until his appointment, Oluyede served as the 56th Commander of the elite Infantry Corps of Nigerian Armybased in Jaji, Kaduna.
