Assault with a weapon

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were called to an incident along Girard Street in the Mill Hall district on Oct. 7 for reports of an assault with a weapon.

According to police, a 28-year-old Lock Haven woman, while wielding a metal carabiner clip on her hand, struck a 31-year-old Mill Hall woman, causing the blow to land with an effect similar to that of a person using brass knuckles. the police said.

The victim was treated for head injuries at UPMC Lock Haven, police said.

The Lock Haven woman was charged with assault with a deadly weapon by District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

Retail theft

MILL HALL — An 18-year-old Buffalo, NY man has been charged with retail theft following an incident at the Walmart along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township, on Oct. 6, said state police in Lamar.

Officers were dispatched to the store at 8:35 p.m. for reports of retail theft involving $61.84 in various stolen items, police said.

The charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.

Burglary

RENOVO — State police at Lamar were called to a home along Renovo Road in Noyes Township on Oct. 6 for reports of a burglary.

The incident occurred between Sept. 21 and Oct. 6, when a back door was damaged, causing $100 in damage, and a box of shotgun shells, valued at $20, was taken from the property, police said .

An investigation into the theft is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PSP Lamar at 570-726-6000.

Theft of scrap metal

RENOVO — State police at Lamar are investigating the theft of scrap metal from a property along Ontario Avenue, Renovo District, that occurred between Aug. 12 and Sept. 4.

Copper pipes and metal wires were taken from inside an abandoned residence owned by a 48-year-old Pottersdale, Pa., woman, police said.

Domestic incident

LOCK HAVEN — An 8-year-old Lock Haven boy was injured during a domestic dispute along Eagle Hollow Road, Gallagher Township, on Sept. 1, state police in Lamar said.

Officers were dispatched to the area at 11:45 a.m. for reports of a domestic incident where, upon arrival, a 32-year-old Lock Haven man was found to have grabbed a climbing boot attachment during a verbal altercation. into the metal tree and threw it. behind him, police said.

The attachment struck an 8-year-old child in the shoulder, causing injuries, police said.

The Lock Haven man was arrested and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, police said.

Harassment

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar received a report from a nurse at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital that a patient, a 21-year-old Mill Hall woman, was afraid to go home because of problems with the parents.

The call was reported on Sept. 23 at 11:18 a.m., police said.

MILL HALL — On Oct. 2 at 1:20 a.m., state police at Lamar investigated a Childline call regarding the harassment of an 11-year-old boy in Bald Eagle Township.

Following investigations, the incident was deemed unfounded, police said.

Property found

MILL HALL — On Oct. 9, a tax refund check was found in the Sheetz parking lot along Hogan Boulevard, police said.

A vehicle accident

BEECH CREEK – A 45-year-old Blanchard man was cited for accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle or property following a one-vehicle accident along Eagle Valley Road, Beech Creek Township, on Aug. 25, said state police at Lamar.

About 9:15 p.m., Jeremy D. Miller was traveling west on the roadway when his 2018 Toyota Tundra crossed into the oncoming lane on the southbound shoulder, striking a utility pole with the driver’s side mirror, police said.

The vehicle continued, leaving the road on the south shoulder and continued into a grassy area, where it struck another utility pole with the front passenger side, clipping it — some residents losing power, police said.

Miller’s vehicle continued into a soybean field for about 100 feet before it was driven out of the field and back onto the roadway and left the scene with no reported damage, police said.

Officers contacted Miller at his home on Sept. 1, where he told police he was driving the Toyota at the time of the crash and believed he did not need to report it, police said.

Observations of the truck showed damage consistent with the scene, police said.

Miller told police he hit a deer in the roadway, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, police said.

DUI charge

McELHATTAN — A 40-year-old Lock Haven man was charged with driving under the influence following an incident along Railroad Lane, Wayne Township, on Sept. 15, state police at Lamar said.

At 11:39 p.m., police were called to the area for reports of a 2015 Nissan Rogue stuck on train tracks in the area, police said.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Charges were filed through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office.

DUI claimed

MILL HALL — A 68-year-old Mill Hall man may be charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop along Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township on Sept. 30, state police said at Lamar.

Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Hyundai Sonata for a vehicle code violation.

During the stop, the driver showed signs of impairment and was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

The incident is currently under investigation, police said.
