A Niagara Falls man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for manslaughter

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) — A Niagara Falls man was sentenced Monday to 25 years in state prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including manslaughter, the Niagara County District Attorney’s office announced.

According to officials, 24-year-old Rohmelo Lewis killed Cortez Galmore during a robbery on May 3, 2022. Galmore had recently moved to Niagara Falls.

Two other people involved in a string of robberies previously entered guilty pleas and were sentenced for their roles.

Isaiah Christian, 21, was sentenced to 20 years after pleading guilty to manslaughter and first-degree robbery. Shawn Bomberry, 20, was sentenced to two years for attempted of second degree robbery. He was not involved in the incident that led to Galmore’s death, officials said.

Lewis pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, first-degree robbery and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
