Skiers and riders will save money on the slopes in Maine and Vermont this season, according to HomeToGo.

The vacation rental search engine has launched its Ski season report 2024/25 naming the most affordable ski resorts in the US, and the following places were in the top 10: Maine’s Sugarloaf Mountain ranked 4th, Maine The river on Sunday ranked 6th and Vermont’s Jay Peak ranked 8th.

The most affordable ski resort in the US is Mount Gore in New York, according to the report.

The report combined the price of a one-day lift pass for adults and the average nightly lodging price per person to determine the total cost per day per person at each location. At Gore, the most accessible mountain, a ski pass costs $107 and the night is $88.02, for a total of $195.02.

At Sugarloaf, New England’s most affordable ski resort, a one-day lift pass is $124 and a night is $105.37, for a total of $229.37 per person. At Sunday River, a lift pass is $109 and overnight lodging is $125.82, for a total of $234.82. And at Jay Peak, a lift pass is $129 and overnight lodging is $123.89, for a total of $252.89.

more, Mount Stratton in Vermont is among the top five most popular ski destinations in the US for 2024/25, according to the report. The resort ranked 4th with +51% year-over-year search growth. Stratton ranked 17th on the affordability list with a $159 transportation pass and $172.80 hotel price for a total of $331.80.
