Alleged fights, incidents of disturbance in Port St. Lucie led to the arrest of 6 teenagers

PORT ST. LUCIE – Six teenagers were arrested Thursday following alleged incidents at a gas station and an apartment complex, a police spokesman said Friday.

The incident began around 3:15 p.m. Thursday when officers went to a BP gas station at Southeast Lennard and Southeast Walton roads east of US 1 on reports of fights with juveniles, said Sgt. Dominick Mesiti, Port St. Police spokesman. Lucia.

The participants were apparently not there when officers arrived, but the mother of a 15-year-old boy called and said her son had a gun pulled on him. A person named “Goldfish” has been identified as a suspect.

That 17-year-old was found at apartments less than two miles away in the 1900 block of Southeast Hillmoor Drive. He was arrested on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. A second 17-year-old boy was arrested on battery and probation violation charges, Mesiti said. Police did not find a firearm.

“While officers were investigating the initial fight, making the arrest of the two suspects from the initial fight, a crowd began to gather and several altercations broke out and had to be stopped by law enforcement,” Mesiti said.

Four other minors, ages 14 to 16, were arrested, Mesiti said.
