VERNAL, Utah — A student was injured early Monday after an accident at a Vernal school involving other students.

In an email to parents, Bill Zenner, executive director of Terra Academy, said the injured student is receiving medical attention, but provided few other details about what happened.

Several people commented on social media that someone had to be airlifted from the school, but officials have yet to comment on the information.

“The student is in our thoughts as we stay in touch with the family throughout the day,” Zenner wrote.

Terra Academy is a charter school serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
