Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple incidents of assault, charges filed

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported two separate assault incidents over the weekend, both leading to multiple charges. The incidents were detailed in the Daily Incident Report published on Monday.

The first incident occurred on Nov. 2 at approximately 3:34 p.m. on Ringgold Road, where deputies responded to an alleged assault involving a man and his girlfriend’s father. According to the report, the suspect was charged with assault and battery. He was later released by the magistrate on personal recognizance.

Later that evening around 6 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a basketball court on Anvil Road following reports of a fight. The altercation initially involved juveniles arguing over a football game, but tensions escalated when adults were involved in a separate physical altercation while deputies were on scene. Authorities quickly intervened to break up the second fight.

Following an investigation, three adults were charged with assault and battery as well as disorderly conduct and released on personal recognizance. Four juveniles involved in the initial altercation received criminal complaints for assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

The sheriff’s office has not released further details about the people involved or the nature of the disputes.
