October saw a much higher rate of reported crimes, with a total of 15 residential burglaries, 18 business burglaries, eight armed robberies, 23 theft cases, nine property damage cases, two medical report related cases, two of murder and rape. case.

“Routine theft is still very high as most criminals target water pipes, gate motors and lights. These things can be sold very quickly at scrap dealers. Burglary is a big concern and continues to increase,” said Van Zyl.

He also noted that in October there was a nearly 50% increase in reported cases.
