Teen found shot to death in NW Harris Co. after witnesses heard gunshots, car sped off

HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together what led to the death of a teenager Sunday night in the Northwest Harris County after witnesses reported hearing gunshots but saw only a car speeding away from the scene.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. when deputies were called to the Evolve Champions Apartments on TC Jester Boulevard for a shooting in progress.

When they arrived, investigators said they found an unidentified 17-year-old boy dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Some witnesses outside told officers they heard gunfire but were not around to see what happened.

However, they saw a car fleeing the scene and later reported finding the teenager before calling 911.

There is no motive or information on the shooters at this time, but deputies are looking into what happened as part of their investigation.
