Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump remains in a dead heat as the presidential elections coming up in just over a week.

The latest batch of polls released on Sunday show the two candidates locked in a tie bite the nails of a racethough the CBS and ABC polls give the vice president a slight lead over former president Trump. The the latest survey from TIPPhowever, found for the third day in a row, Trump and Harris were tied at 48%.

Amid the tight race, both candidates are spending the latter part of the 2024 presidential election focusing on Michigan and Georgia, two key battleground states that could decide the race for the White House.

Harris, Trump tied at 48% in continuous coverage from TIPP

Harris and Trump remain virtually tied TIPP follow-up survey since Monday morning.

The poll of 1,288 likely voters, conducted between Oct. 25 and Oct. 27, showed both candidates tied at 48 percent, with a margin of error of 2.7 percentage points.

“With both campaigns in full swing, we expect this razor-thin race to remain in a tight lane,” TIPP Insights said.

The new poll showed Trump making significant gains among college-educated voters (+13.9 points), black voters (+8.1) and seniors (+8). In contrast, Harris gained ground with voters with at least some college education (+6.3 points) and independent/other voters (+5 points).

A growing sense of dissatisfaction with the economy looms over the election, with 53 percent of those surveyed saying they feel worse now than they did before the pandemic, according to the TIPP poll.

Trump 48%, Harris 47% in new USA TODAY/Suffolk poll

Trump and Harris are nearly tied in Wisconsin48 percent to 47 percent, a new statewide poll of 500 likely voters found.

The USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll was conducted Oct. 20-23, with a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.

Harris has a slight 50 percent to 47 percent lead among Door County’s 300 likely voters, which has been a tie for the state. The results are within the margin of error of 5.7 percentage points.

Wisconsin, which has 10 electoral votes and is considered a “Blue wall” status.are among several important swing states that both Trump and Harris want to help catapult them to the presidency. In 2016, Trump flipped all three states, helping him win the presidency. In 2020, Biden won back all three states.

New exclusive survey: Harris, Trump stuck in heat in Wisconsin battleground

Harris leads Trump 49% to 47% in the ABC News poll

Harris regained a slight lead among likely voters nationwide the latest poll from ABC News/Ipsos released Sunday, which surveyed a total of 2,808 adults.

The poll showed Harris leading 49 percent to 47 percent of the 2,392 registered voters polled. When considering only likely voters (1,913 in this poll), Harris also holds a slight lead of 51 percent to Trump’s 47 percent.

The poll had a margin of sampling error of 2 percentage points.

“Compared to earlier this month, Harris has regained a more typical Democratic edge among Hispanics and widened her advantage among suburban women, while remaining strong in core groups, including people of color,” it said in the survey. “Trump is pushing back in rural areas and among non-college white men and leading competitively among younger men.”

The survey was conducted between October 18 and October 22.

The new poll found that a majority of those surveyed saw Trump as the best candidate to handle issues that include immigration and the economy. Harris, meanwhile, was seen among those polled as the best to handle issues like abortion and health care.

Harris holds a 1 percentage point lead in the CBS poll

Harris also holds a slight 1 percentage point lead over Trump the latest poll from CBS News released on sunday.

The poll of 2,161 registered voters showed Harris leading 50 percent to 49 percent, with a margin of error of 2.6 points. It took place between October 23-25.

As with most national polls, the economy emerged as a major concern among those surveyed, with 84 percent saying it will be a major factor in how they vote this year. More than half (53%) of those surveyed said it was getting worse.

Things to consider about surveys

The margin of error describes how accurately we can count on the survey results to be representative of the entire population.

When a candidate’s lead is “within” the margin of error, it is considered a “statistical tie,” according to Pew Research Center.

Pew has, too found that most pollsters have changed their methods since the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, where Trump’s performance was significantly underestimated.
