Man arrested on drug charges after motorcycle crash on Franklin St.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Officials with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office say a man was arrested Sunday in Evansville after police found drugs after crashing a motorcycle.

According to an affidavit, officers saw a man, later identified as Nazhee Flowers, crash his motorcycle on Franklin Street around 2:50 a.m.

Police say Flowers failed a field sobriety test when questioned and was then placed in handcuffs.

During the arrest, officers found a small plastic bag with a gray crystal-like substance in the front right watch pocket of Flower’s pants, later identified as methamphetamine.

The affidavit shows Flowers made comments to 11 officers telling them he was going to fight them. He also continued to make threats to individual officers.

After being placed in a patrol car, Flowers attempted to kick the window, which then prompted officers to place flexible cuffs around his ankles.

Flowers was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital for medical clearance and then taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.

He is detained on the following charges:

  • Communication – Intimidation
  • Public Administration – Resist Humanization of the Law
  • Controlled substance – possession of methamphetamine
  • Motor vehicle – Driving a vehicle while intoxicated
  • Public order – Disorderly conduct
  • Battery – Against a public safety official engaged in operation
