TEL AVIV, November 3. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out an intelligence-based strike to eliminate Hezbollah air commander Ali Barakat, the military’s press service said.

Barakat was “a significant source of knowledge for the unit, having spent over a decade planning and conducting UAV attacks on Israel. He was also involved in the development of cruise missiles and UAVs for Hezbollah,” the IDF said.

“The IDF will continue to operate against Hezbollah’s air unit, eliminating its operators and dismantling the terrorist infrastructure,” the press service concluded.
