Jersey Shore man charged with intimidation after making obscene phone call to family members he allegedly abused | News, Sports, Jobs

Troy Wayne Johnson, of 322 Front St., already charged with welfare of a child, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, was charged with attempting to intimidate the alleged victims from which those charges stem.

The incident began shortly before 6:40 a.m. on Sept. 10 when Lycoming Regional Police responded to Johnson’s residence for a domestic disturbance.

Visibly distressed, the alleged victim told officers she was straight “a punching bag” for her 38-year-old husband, an affidavit states.

Police observed cuts and marks on her body, as well as a black and blue left eye, court documents said.

During one of the alleged attacks, Johnson pushed her up a step and into their minor daughter, causing a burn to her knee, authorities allege.

“You caused all of this because of your lies and actions.” Johnson texted the alleged victim after she and their two children were driven to a friend’s house, police said.

Johnson was booked into the Lycoming County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond for the incident and ordered to have no contact with the victims. However, three days later, Johnson called the alleged victim on a recorded jail line, ordering her to contact a bail bondsman, saying he wanted out of jail that night, according to court documents.

Shortly after the call, the young woman picked up the phone and greeted Johnson.

“I don’t want to talk to you now” Johnson told the girl, before referring to her and her mother as “(Expletive) narcotics”, said an affidavit.

“(Expletive) you too. (Expletive) all of you (expletive)” Johnson responded when he was greeted by his 8-year-old son, before using a racial slur.

Johnson then repeated his order for the alleged victim to get him out of jail that night, telling her the house was in his name.

“I hope you and those kids (unpaid) burn in a fire (cry) tonight,” Johnson was heard telling the alleged victim, an affidavit said.

“If I’m not out of here by tomorrow morning, I’m going to make every aspect of your life hell.” Johnson told the alleged victim, before affirming “You haven’t seen it yet, I promise.” police say.

Throughout the call, he continued to refer to the alleged victim and their children in vulgar, crude language.

“(Expletive), they didn’t. They called the police” Johnson told the alleged victim after she told him about the impact his actions had on the children, stressing that they did nothing to her, according to court documents.

He then hurled a sexual slur at the boy, at which point the call ended.

Arraigned on two counts each of intimidation, retaliation or obstruction in child abuse cases and retaliation against a witness, victim or party by District Judge Denise Dieter, Johnson remains incarcerated in the Lycoming County Jail in lieu of $45,000 for this case.
