Macomb County man charged with child exploitation after 30-year-old woman overdoses

Ronald Kevin Hill, 36, of Macomb County, was charged with two counts of sale of drugs resulting in death and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Court documents revealed on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, a 30-year-old woman overdosed in Clinton Township near the Clinton River and Romeo Plank.

After an extensive investigation by the Clinton Township Police Department, it was determined that Hill allegedly sold the woman drugs that led to her death.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office received a warrant request on Tuesday (Oct. 29), which was authorized the same day.

The 36-year-old man was charged with delivery of a controlled substance causing death, a life felony, and delivery of fentanyl less than 50 grams, a 20-year felony.

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, Hill was arraigned in Clinton Township 41B District Court, where a personal bond was set at $50,000.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.

Hill was allegedly arrested on Oct. 29 by Clinton Township police officers on an outstanding warrant, where they found cocaine on him.

After further investigation, Clinton Township officers discovered child sexual abuse material on his phone.

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, another warrant application was filed with the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office and was authorized the same day.

The 36-year-old man was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material, 10-year felonies, and delivery of a controlled substance less than 50 grams, a 20-year felony.

Hill was arraigned in Shelby District Court on Friday, November 1, 2024, where the Court set bond at $500,000 cash/surety only.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom and a preliminary examination is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
