It’s been almost a year since the first GTA 6 trailer was released by Rockstar Games, shattering the internet and records in the process. There’s still no official word on when the second GTA 6 trailer will be released, but with the game currently scheduled for a holiday 2025 release via PS5 and Xbox Series X, a second trailer is definitely on the horizon. To that end, it may be launched this month.

In a new promotional image for GTA Online, Grand Theft Auto fans noticed something quite interesting. More specifically, it was noticed that the promotional image shows the moon in its waning Gibbous phase. Is there anything in it? We don’t know, but some Grand Theft Auto fans believe it’s a subtle and cryptic tease of GTA 6.

If this is the case, it would point to something happening on November 22 when the waning Gibbous moon occurs. Obviously, this can’t be tied to a GTA 6 release date, so maybe it’s the release date of the second GTA 6 trailer. To that end, November 22nd is a Friday, so it’s not out of the question the possibility that this is the date. If the date was on the weekend, it would immediately disprove the theory. That being said, the first GTA 6 trailer was specifically revealed on Monday.

For now, all we have is speculation. It’s reasonable to expect the second GTA 6 trailer to be released sometime this year, but at this point there’s no guarantee that will happen, especially if the game risks being delayed until 2026, which what based on what i heard. grapevine, is a real possibility, or at least was as of a few months ago.

At the time of publication, Rockstar Games has not commented on this rumor in any way. They never comment on speculation, so we don’t suspect this will change, but if it does, we’ll be sure to update the story accordingly. In the meantime, be sure to take this speculation like any speculation with a grain of salt.
