Jennifer Lopez defends Puerto Ricans at Kamala Harris rally in Las Vegas

Jennifer Lopez defended Puerto Ricans and women at Kamala Harris’ rally in Las Vegas after Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s racist jokes have gone viral.

“He constantly worked to divide us. At Madison Square Garden, he reminded us who he really is and how he really feels,” the pop singer said of former President Donald Trump on Thursday.

“It wasn’t just Puerto Ricans who were offended that day. It was all the Latinos in this country. It was humanity and anyone of decent character.”

Lopez also advocated for women’s empowerment, saying, “I believe in the power of women. I believe women have the power to make a difference in this election. I believe in the power of the Latins. I believe in the power of our community. I believe in the power of all our votes.”

The “On the Floor” singer, 55, voiced her support for the Harris campaign on Sunday after Tony Hinchcliffe’s controversial remarks at a Trump rally in New York.

The Latin singer, along with Bad Bunny and Ricky Martin, posted a video shared by the Harris campaign, which claims Trump doesn’t care about fellow Americans living in Puerto Rico.

Earlier this month, Lopez encouraged fans to register to vote as Election Day neared.

“Your vote is your voice and your power and our voices are stronger together,” she said in a video shared on October 10 in collaboration with When We All Vote.

Lopez previously performed at the inauguration of President Joe Biden in January 2021.

Lopez’s official endorsement of Vice President Harris comes days after Beyoncé supported her at her rally in Houston.

During her speech, she said that she was not speaking to fans as a celebrity or a politician, but as a mother deeply concerned about the future of her children.

The fans, however, he became angry when the artist “Cowboy Carter” did not perform at the event.
