A professional golfer loses the sight in one eye after being hit by an errant tee shot

A young professional golfer he became the victim of a freak accident during a tour that eventually left him blind in one eye.

Jeffrey Guan from AustraliaThe 20-year-old was hit in the left eye by a stray shot during a pro-am tournament last month.

Guan said he was hit shortly after he left and returned to the cart. He underwent the first of two surgeries that night.

Guan said he spent two weeks in intensive care while suffering from “excruciating pain”. His potential recovery could take up to a year.

“As you can imagine, this whole situation has not only taken a huge toll, but has taken a significant toll on me and my family emotionally and mentally. The thought of all my years of hard work and preparation, plus my family’s sacrifice, had just been thrown away. out the window…,” Guan wrote in a touching Instagram post.

“Luckily I’ve been lucky enough to have a huge support group around me and I can’t thank everyone enough for the support I’ve received over the last few weeks. I wouldn’t be where I am now without all the encouragement and assistance I received…
