Halloween Forecast: Not scary at all

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – After near-record heat and periods of showers and thunderstorms on various days this work week, you might think we’re in for a scary Halloween forecast. That won’t be the case as we expect near normal temperatures and dry conditions.

So what can we expect from all the trick or treaters? They will still need to bundle up somewhat as temperatures quickly drop from the mid-50s to the 40s.

Unlike Wednesday, tomorrow we expect to see highs in the afternoon instead of early morning. They will also be slightly below average, even with the normal high dropping to 59 degrees.

The below-normal temperatures and dry weather don’t last long, though the 60s return Friday through Monday and unsettled weather is possible Saturday through Tuesday. After a dry October, November starts wet.

A rainy weekend at times is becoming increasingly likely.
