EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – On Wednesday, the Indiana Latino Institute held its 13th annual Education Summit at the Old National Events Plaza in Evansville.

Several students were present at the event.

The event featured keynote speakers, interactive college readiness workshops, and a college/career fair.

The College and Career Fair offered programs to show students what they have to offer.

Indiana Latino Institute President Marlene Dotson talks about their goals for students.

“That way is to give them support by helping to train them,” Dotson said. “And once they’ve all finished those two areas of high school and college, that’s when we want to keep. We want to make sure they have access to good jobs.”

Event officials plan to go to Cambridge, Indiana, for the next stop.
