Home burglaries lead to charges

Police in London say a 30-year-old man is facing charges after two homes were broken into over the weekend.

A man entered a residence in the 400 block of Oxford Street East around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the man removed property from the home and broke into another nearby residence a short time later.

Police say a search of the suspect turned up approximately 73 grams of fentanyl.

Following the investigation, the Londoner was charged with the following crimes:

  • Two counts of breaking and entering with intent
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear again in court in London on October 30 in relation to the charges.
