Blue Lock Animator Reveals Why Season 2 Looks So Bad

When it comes to anime, fans expect their favorite series to live up to certain expectations. Sports titles are expected to invest heavily in animation as they feature high-octane action. from Slam dunk TO HaikyuI have seen this investment pay off, and Blue lock the first season followed this method. However, that plot was lost somewhere during production Blue lock season two, and an animator is now speaking out about the horrendous misstep.

Taking to social media, wants Martin Reyes to clarify the situation Blue lock. The animator worked on the anime’s second season, and his behind-the-scenes breakdown of the series is damning. According to Reyes, he was originally supposed to work on five episodes of Blue lock season two, but dropped after animating parts of episode two due to the show’s impossible schedule.

What happened to Blue Lock season 2?

“We worked on the second episode of Blue lockand i can tell you why the animation is so bad. Months ago, I started working Blue lock season two where I worked not only on one episode…not even two or three, but rather five episodes. I started working on episode two and had to do 20 cuts from start to finish,” Reyes explains.

“Oddly enough, the problems (with Blue lock) hadn’t gotten up yet. I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but the work I did ended up not being released. Despite the low wages and short turnaround, I did my best. Many of my animations were (cropped) in the final edit; Virtually all of their movement has been eliminated. I don’t blame the person who worked on my cuts after me; They probably did the best they could with the time they were given.”

Lamentable result Creo que me falto agregar that even hubiesemos intentado llevar la animación mas lejos, el director eliminaria the major amount of frames possible for arrived a time a la entrega, el result? El mismo que se vio in the episode… #bluelock #sakuga

Continuing, the entertainer continued to blame the supervising production committee Blue lock for how bad season two looks. “These issues… are the result of certain production committees. They take up projects with profit in mind but don’t care about the condition of their employees. Because of this I did not work more Blue lock episodes. Once I finished working on episode two, I decided to leave, and the end result was a disaster as I expected. I can’t be prouder of the work that has been done.”

As you can see above, Reyes went so far as to post one of his original cuts Blue lock season two. The clip is unfinished as the animator was tasked with the layout work, but there is already a world of difference. In Reyes’ cut, there is a running animation and we are shown a lot of dynamic action. When Blue lock season two brought episode two to life, well – the animation was difficult to say the least. His characters were lucky if their legs moved at all while running, so clearly something was lost in translation as BBlue lock production continues.

Can Blue Lock Season 3 Redeem Anime?

According to Reyes, the core of the problem behind Blue lock season two drops on directors. The animation team didn’t have enough time to make season two look as good as season one. While Reyes was able to turn in a well-animated look, the show’s other animation teams couldn’t see the vision. Corners were cut by designers and colorists and animators in the final stages. This did not happen out of laziness, but because of an intense time crunch. Reyes says his fall Blue lock it could have been avoided with better production scheduling, but the show’s board didn’t bother to intervene.

As you can imagine, fans Blue lock are incredibly disappointed with season two. The show’s first season was a hit, and its popularity gave the Kodansha manga a massive sales boost. Creators Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura are still creating manga, but their work now has a shadow to contend with. Blue lock season two is hailed as one of the worst uninstalls in anime. And if the anime gets a third season order, the production committee better reevaluate their deadlines or face further humiliation.
