WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Police say a crash that injured three people is connected to a reported kidnapping.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday near Kellogg and Washington. Police said a person called 911 to report a kidnapping. Appellant then followed the car involved in Kellogg’s alleged kidnapping.

The driver tried to speed out, but the car overturned. The driver of the car involved in the alleged kidnapping was taken to hospital and is expected to survive. Two passengers suffered minor injuries.

Police will speak to the people in the car about the reported abduction. Police may be seen near the Washington exit on Kellogg as they clear the scene Tuesday morning.
