William Nylander reflects on shuffling the forward line after a 3-point play against the Jets

William Nylander was terrific for the Toronto Maple Leafs during a 6-4 win over the previously undefeated Winnipeg Jets, recording a goal and two assists while chasing the pucks throughout the contest. Nylander was placed on a line alongside John Tavares — who scored a hat trick, including an empty-netter insurance goal — and Max Pacioretty, who had a game-high three assists and made a very strong case to stay in line.

Nylander was paired primarily with Max Domi and Bobby McMann to start the year and reflected on the differences between both lines after Toronto’s win.

“We haven’t been getting clear looks and stuff the last couple of games, so sometimes the change is good. I thought both lines we were on played really well,” Nylander said after the game David Alter of The Hockey News.
