NTT DATA Expands Partnership with Palo Alto Networks to Launch Cyber Security Service Based on Artificial Intelligence

Information technology services and consulting company NTT DATA Corp. today announced an expanded partnership with the cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks Inc. that helps businesses protect their digital infrastructure from emerging cybersecurity threats.

The expanded partnership sees the introduction of NTT DATA’s Managed Extended Detection Response service, a new service that provides continuous threat monitoring, detection and rapid response capabilities. The service uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide visibility across networks, edge and cloud environments, enabling organizations to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats.

The new service is powered by Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex XSIAM, its security operations center platform that uses artificial intelligence and automation to simplify operations, stop threats at scale and accelerate incident remediation.

The combined capabilities are designed to help businesses strengthen their cyber resilience by integrating technology, threat intelligence and security expertise, and in doing so, significantly reduce the time it takes to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber threats. NTT DATA MXDR users also benefit from a unified view of data and security operations on a single platform to streamline operations and prevent threats.

“Many organizations rely on fragmented security systems, making it more difficult to detect advanced threats and react quickly,” said Sheetal Mehta, Global Head of Cyber Security at NTT DATA. “By partnering with Palo Alto Networks, we are delivering a unified solution that strengthens cyber resilience, streamlines security operations and improves overall agility.”

Features of NTT DATA’s new MXDR service include 24/7 incident detection and response, supported by a global operations team with cybersecurity expertise. By using AI-based threat intelligence and machine learning, MXDR provides rapid threat detection and mitigation.

By providing real-time threat intelligence, NTT says, MXDR also provides proactive protection that reduces operational complexity for customers, improves resource management and lowers total cost of ownership. The service ensures that organizations can respond quickly and effectively to sophisticated threats.

The partnership between the two companies is focused on industries that depend on secure and connected environments, such as the manufacturing, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Key benefits include end-to-end edge-to-cloud security that provides full visibility into devices and networks to ensure robust protection against cyber threats.

This collaboration further provides AI-based threat detection for rapid, machine-speed responses, a unified platform to reduce complexity and total cost of ownership, and resilience to downtime through integrated, automated services. Combined, the capabilities confidently support business continuity, global reach and modernization.
