STARKVILLE, Miss — For Mississippi State, last year was about finding that mojo again after two disappointing, snake-bitten campaigns. And once the Bulldogs found their mojo, they had to hang onto it — which is always a struggle in the SEC.

The Dawgs knew they were better than they were in 2023 and knew they were talented enough to make the postseason, but their first four weekends of SEC play were against LSU, at Texas A&M, at Florida and against Georgia.
