Ukraine’s parliament votes in favor of extending martial law and mobilization in 13th vote

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Ukraine’s parliament) has voted to adopt President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decrees extending martial law and mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days, until February 7, 2025.

Quote: “The Rada adopted the draft laws no. 12152 and no. 12151 regarding the extension of martial law and general mobilization for 90 days.

Both bills were introduced by (Oleksandr) Lytvynenko, Secretary of the Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

A total of 311 members voted to extend martial law, and 304 voted to extend mobilization.

This was the 13th vote on the extension of martial law.”

On the screen of the Supreme Rada it says: “The draft law no. 12151, summary of vote no. 4: 311 for, 0 against, 0 abstentions, 29 did not vote, 340 in total. The draft law was adopted”.
