A new poll shows where Michigan voters stand in the US Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers

A week before Election Day, we have an updated poll showing where Michigan voters stand in the US Senate race between Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers.

According to our poll, which surveyed voters Oct. 22-24, Slotkin holds a 3.7 percent lead over Rogers — 46.2 percent to 42.5 percent.

There are 6.7% of voters who remain undecided, and 4.7% of voters have chosen a third candidate.

Those results are similar to the poll in early October, which had Slotkin leading by 3.5% (46.8%-43.3%).

Slotkin has a narrow 2.9% lead (39.2%-36.3%) among independent voters.

Among Harris voters, 88.7% are voting for Slotkin. Rogers has 83.2% of Trump voters.

Slotkin leads the women by 20.9% (54.2%-33.3%), while Rogers leads the men by 15.3% (52.6%-37.3%).

Among college voters, Slotkin leads 13.2% (52.4%-39.2%). Rogers leads non-college voters by 2.9% (45-2%-42.3%).

Notably, Slotkin leads by 11.9% in union households — 49.4%-37.5%. Rogers leads non-union households, 44.6%-43.3%.

Survey methodology

This poll was commissioned by WDIV Local 4 News and the Detroit News. The Glengariff Group, Inc, conducted the statewide survey and likely included general election voters.

600 people were surveyed by telephone between October 22-24, 2024. This poll has a margin of error of +/- 4% with a confidence level of 95%.

Of the respondents, 83.2% were contacted by mobile phone and 16.8% were contacted by landline.
