Suspect flees fatal shooting after fight in West Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A suspect is on the run from a fatal shooting after a fight in West Las Vegas, Metro Police said.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a shooting occurred at 4:44 a.m. Sunday in the 6200 block of Brandywine Way. This is near Jones Boulevard and Alta Drive.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds in an alley.

Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Metro homicide detectives say the victim and suspect were in an argument when the shooting occurred.

Police say the suspect fled the area before officers could arrive.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” police said. “The identification of the victim and the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.”
